    London, Capital of the World

London is very wide and once in London commuters will refer to district names such as Piccadily Circus, Chealsea, Whitechapel, Knightsbridge, Mayfair, Bloomsbury, Fitzrovia). With time London has spread so much that the city has absorbed dozens of nearby villages which became cities within the city.

London is officially divided in 32 London boroughs in around to the original City of London but Londoners have a fierce clunch on their traditional district, not only because of their football team.

London, after having been capital of the world for centuries is still one of the world's leading capital of the world business wise, financially, politically and culturally.

London's new financial and business platform is the eastern Docklands and the Canary Wharf complex. Other businesses locate in the City of Westminster, the home of the UK's national government and the well-known Westminster Abbey.

International hotels are pretty expensive in  most of the touristic and business parts of both historic and modern boroughs but a great park of family hotels and b&b allow travelers to find their affordable room rate.

West London provides the main shopping, nightlife and entertainment in the capital with districts such as Piccadily circus, Oxford Street, Chisvick, Leicester, Covent and more. The Western part of London is THE London hype where many five starts and famous boutique hotels are located: The Hempell in Notting Hill, the Sheraton Park Tower and the Jumeirah Carlton in Knightsbridge the Draycott in Chelsea.

East-London was built around the old Port of London and is an older while cheaper part of the city and concentrates more of London's industrial, business and retail trade.

Being a port East-London has traditionally been more prone to digest immigrant population and makes it very international and colorful and entertaining.

Hotels, Bed and Breakfast, Pensions, guesthouses and hostels are cheaper in these area and you can find cheap hotels rooms nearby the Thames River and Lower Lea Valley if you look properly which is interesting with the nearby Olympic Park being developed as we read.

Central London is the heart of the Kingdom and Trafalgar Square hotels are not cheap, it is advised to avoid central London when making a hotel reservation because London commuter system is so clean and efficient that every destination within the city center can be reached in minutes with perfect comfort.
